"Dreamlike, timeless, always in search of the subtle nuances of a reimagined modal harmony" — these are the defining characteristics of Anthony Girard's music. Firmly rooted in the heritage of the French School (luminosity, transparency, refined craft), in the lineage of Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, and Koechlin, his work draws inspiration from medieval polyphony, traditional Indian music, and certain minimalist scores.
His compositions reconcile the search for a new sound space, meditative in essence, with a sense of constant motion.Vibrant colours — exploring the margins of silence
